Gas safety certificates in Essex
Arrange a landlord gas safety check and keep track of the next due date.
Gas safety checks for rental properties
Tell us the property postcode, number of gas appliances to be checked and the current due date if known. Access arrangements can be agreed when the appointment is organised.
A check and record, not a guaranteed pass
A landlord gas safety record documents the findings of the inspection. Any defects or further work need to be dealt with appropriately; requesting a certificate does not guarantee that an appliance will be found safe.
Plan ahead for annual checks
Landlords generally need annual gas safety checks on gas appliances and flues they provide for tenants. An eligible check can take place up to two months early while retaining the existing deadline. The engineer should confirm the recorded due date; a reminder does not replace the landlord’s responsibility.

Common questions
Is a boiler service included?
A service and a landlord gas safety check are separate tasks. Request both if needed and confirm the scope and price before booking.
I have more than one property. Can I enquire?
Yes. Mention that you manage several properties. Each property and due date should be recorded separately; do not send tenant details in the initial enquiry.
